Assistive Technology

Independence AT Home Group

Come and see us at the Independence AT Home drop in sessions, Wednesday's from 10am to 2pm at Citizens Advice, Wellington.

You can come and browse a variety of gadgets and equipment to give you an idea of things that can help make life a little easier. Our volunteers will be available to assist you if you need any help, between them they have personal experience of using the different gadgets.

The AT Home campaign began in December 2015 to encourage people to think about how technology and devices can help people to continue to live independently in their own home. This type of support, known as assistive technology, is becoming increasingly important as councils’ social care budgets come under increasing pressure due to cuts in Government grants.

You can watch some short clips below of Telford residents explaining how assistive technology has helped them.

For more information please view the Independence AT Home Drop In flyer or the AT Home website.
